Audio Labs was established in 1972 to bring high quality electronic home entertainment products to the Des Moines market. Our goal is to select the equipment that represents The Best in its category and price range. Then we take the equipment to the "Lab" and test performance. Once it passes, we do extensive listening. If it meets our qualifications, we handle the equipment. If it doesn't, you won't see it in our store. As a result, the brands and models we carry are considered to be the best in the industry in all price ranges.

Audio Labs is run by trained electronics technicians who choose the components we sell based on auditioning and "Lab" testing rather than profit margins. We believe that customers deserve honest answers to their questions instead of high-pressure sales tactics. Our in-store service department is the best in the state. If you have a problem, you can talk to the person who will fix your equipment.

Harry has been in the electronics business since 1992. In 2007 he became the owner of Audio Labs. Harry holds a degree in Computer Engineering and looks forward to finding a solution to the next "impossible" project.

Lewis has been in the electronics business since 1973. He worked for several businesses in Iowa City and came to Audio Labs in 1977. He is a technician by training and works in our sales department. He also builds his own components and repairs electronic pin-ball machines.

Bob has been in the electronics business since 1972 and has been at Audio Labs since 1976. He is a technician by training and works in our service department.

Andy started at Audio Labs in the 90s. Andy is great at hooking up systems and making them do what they are supposed to do. In addition, Andy spends much of his freetime dealing with live sound productions for bands and special events.

Eric is part of our custom installation team. Eric focuses on creating the best final product and can always come up with a solution to a problem.

Collectively, there isn't much in this business we haven't had some experience with.
